Adoption Options accepts personal checks. If you would like to pay on line, please be advised that we utilize PayPal. PayPal charges a convenience fee (please see below). Unless otherwise specified, all fees are non refundable upon receipt by Adoption Options. Please contact our office if you have questions about any fee or payment.
APPLICATION FEE: $350 payable with the application and will include initial phone information conferences and the opening of a family file with the Agency.
HOMESTUDY EVALUATION:
Adoptive Home Study: (note: all home studies are Hague compliant) $2,500 payable $1,250 to initiate your home study process and $1,250 with the last outstanding document. (This includes three notarized home studies, notarized Agency licenses, notarized Social Worker's licenses, notarized post adoption verification documents, and notarized interagency agreement (if needed). Any other additional documents produced will include notary charge of $10.)

HOMESTUDY UPDATE:
$500- for home study amendments (change of employment, age or number of children, child preferences, etc.)
$1000- home study updates that were completed less than 1 year from the time of update, all updates requiring a home visit
$1000 + $30 (convenience fee)
REFUNDABLE RETAINER: $400 due when homestudy is delivered and refundable when all adoption paperwork from the foreign country is received by the Agency within ten days of your arrival home with your child.

POST ADOPTION REPORT FEES: $400 per child, per report. Adoption Options requires a minimum of ONE post adoption report. This payment is due, for all reports required, prior to delivery of home study. Supervision and assessment of your child's progress and potential delayed development would be discussed at that time. This service also includes many conferences and discussions with you after your child arrives.
(Effective March 1, 2013 there will be an increase in the post adoption report fees for all prepaid reports due after this date. The fee will increase from $300 to $350/report. Families will be expected to provide payment at or before the time of the report. Adoption Options also is no longer able to provide color copy/print services for our clients at no charge. There will be a fee of $2/page to print/copy photographs, including emailed photos, for any required report. Families may submit the required number of color copies or original photographs to their worker or our office to avoid these charges.)

READOPTION SERVICES: $750 for one child full readoption service. $450 for one child partial readoption service. It is recommended that you readopt your child in California. This will provide California birth certificates for your child. Service includes supervision meetings and development of the Superior Court reports and other required paperwork. The readoption requires a recent (less than 6 month old) post adoption report to be submitted with the readoption paperwork.
$750 + $22.50 (convenience fee)
AGENCY FEE: $4500 is due in three installments. The first payment is due upon returning the "Foreign Child Placing Services agreement" contract.
$1500 + $45 (convenience fee)/installment
ADDITIONAL FEES and CHARGES:
Adoption Options may charge additional fees for some services.
Home Study Review $200: Adoption Options reviews all home studies provided by other agencies to make sure they meet all Adoption Options, program, State and Country requirements and standards prior to acceptance.
Additional fees may be charged for custom or additional documents for your placement agency or for other program requirements.
We charge $2/page for color copy/print services, we are no longer able to provide this serve at no charge.
Hourly rates of $45 to $90/hr may be charged for services outside our normal processes. Please contact our office for additional information or if you have questions regarding these charges.
Home Study reports include criminal history and abuse background reports for the adoptive parents for the State of CA only. Families will be charged for required reports from other states/countries and for other family members or residents in the household when required.
